The pitch
Something is wrong with the valley. The woods are going quiet, the regions are going dark, and a figure called the Hollow King is spreading the rot from the edges in. Naturally, the job falls to a bear.
Warm Regards is a classic top-down adventure — dungeons, treasure chests, weapons worth finding, bosses worth dreading — stitched into a whole year of valley life. Between fights you farm, fish, gift things to neighbors, show up to festivals, and slowly become the most beloved and most heavily armed resident in town.
Take back the valley one region at a time, and make it a place worth saving while you're at it.
How it plays
Adventure the old way
Top-down exploring, secret-stuffed dungeons, chests that actually matter, and weapons you have to go find. The map rewards the nosy.
A year to live in
Seasons turn, crops grow, the calendar fills up with festivals. It's a life, not a level select.
Neighbors with stories
Everyone in the valley has something going on. Help them out and they'll remember — and some of them know things about the Hollow King.
A villain worth stopping
The Hollow King's corruption spreads region by region. Push it back, and the valley visibly comes back to life.
Paper-cut good looks
A hand-crafted paper-cut art style, and a soundtrack of sixteen original tracks: one per region, plus dungeons, festivals, and a certain king.
The valley notice board
Pinned outside the general store. Updated whenever someone has feelings.
“LOST: one turnip, very large, answers to nothing. Last seen rolling toward the Hollow King's side of the river.”
— Farmer, east field
“Festival this weekend! Bring a dish. Bear, please bring a dish you did not find in a dungeon.”
— The festival committee
“Has anyone else noticed the woods getting quieter? Asking for everyone.”
— Unsigned
When?
Soon-ish, in bee time. A playtest build is next, then hand-made art, then Steam — with a browser version riding along.
